WMOC 2019 offers to every participant and /or supporter an opportunity to try out a very popular activity here in Latvia –
rogaine
. Rogaine that originated in the previous century in Australia is a team orienteering activity where the team visits as many controls as possible in the time interval given. Controls have different point values, so optimal strategy and route choice are important.
In the very middle of summer Vivoarefoot rogaine takes place in Jūrmala, the best-known resort of Latvia. Posh villas shaded by pine-trees interchange with patches of forest, sandy beach stretches along the seashore for kilometres. Last year event’s photos available

Organizers:
Latvian Orienteering Federation (LOF)in co-operation with "Jāņa sēta" map publishers.
Format:
3 and 4 hour rogaining competition in accordance with LOF Rogaining regulations. Participants travel on foot only.
Venue:
Jūrmala and surroundings. Start and finish in Lielupes skola (Aizputes iela 1A, Jurmala)
Classes:
3 hours:
Barefoot M – team of 2 or 3 male participants, no age limit, at least one adult (above 18). A half of the team or more run barefoot.*
Barefoot W – team of 2 or 3 female participants, no age limit, at least one adult (above 18). A half of the team or more run barefoot.*
Barefoot X – team of 2 or 3 participants, at least one male and one female participant, no age limit, at least one adult (above 18). A half of the team or more run barefoot.*
Family – team of 2-5 participants, at least one is a child, younger than 12, at least one adult (above 18).
Folk rogaine – team of 2-5 participants, at least one adult (above 18).

4 hours:
MO – team of 2 or 3 male participants, no age limit, at least one adult (above 18).
WO – team of 2 or 3 female participants, no age limit, at least one adult (above 18).
XO - team of 2 or 3 participants, no age limit, at least one female and at least one male, at least one participant above 18.
MV - team of 2 or 3 male participants, each at least 40 years old.
WV -team of 2 or 3 female participants, each at least 40 years old.
XV - team of 2 or 3 participants, each at least 40 years old, at least one male and one female.
MSV - team of 2 or 3 male participants, each at least 55 years old.
WSV - team of 2 or 3 female participants, each at least 55 years old.
XSV - team of 2 or 3 participants, each at least 55 years old, at least one male and one female.
If more than 3 teams apply for catergory UV (65+) or J (till 23) these age classes will be awarded separately.

Registration, distribution of maps from 10:00
Start (all categories) 11:00,
Finsh – 14:00 3 hourscategory, 15:00 4 hours category
Prize giving approximately one hour after the finish
Punching system:
SPORTident punching system is used. SI card rent available (EUR 1). If a SI card is lost or damaged, its full value is charged.
Every participant has their own SI card, in Folk and Family categories – one SI card per team.
Point values for controls vary from 2 to 10. Terrain includes dwelling areas, forest and beach. Every team can plan their routes according to their skills and experience – easier will be located intown and on the beach, while more complicated – in the forest.
Map:
Map scale 1:20000 or 1:25000 (size A3), exact information later. The map based on map publisher’s “Jāņa sēta” materials. Contour interval 2m.
Snacks and refreshments:
There will be snacks and refreshments on the course.

To fit within first deadline 30.04, entry fee has to be transferred before 30.04 to:

After 30.04, entry fee can be transferred before 10.07 or paid on arrival at the event centre.
If participation had not been cancelled before 10.07, participants who do not start, have to transfer 50% of the start fee to LOF account.
No refund of start fee for those not started.

Prizegiving
In Barefoot classes1st to 3rd placed teams are awarded with 80-60-40 EUR gift cards from Vivobarefoot.
In Family and Folk classes 1st to 3rd places are awarded with memorial prizes from supporters and organizers.
In 4hours courses 1st to 3rd places in general categories M, W and X are awarded with prizes from sponsors and supporters.
In age classes 1st to 3rd places are awarded with memorial prizes from sponsors and supporters.
During the closing ceremony there will be a lottery of various prizes for all participants. To get a prize, everyone should be present in person.
Safety and other regulations
Every participant should follow the traffic rules.
Entering the competition everyparticipant agrees that photos and videos taken during the event can be used for advertising and marketing, as well as personal data are published in start lists and results.
